When the operator creates a conference some endpoints are connected with problem (the participant properties shows: video sync loss is checked and video out from RMX is 0) while all the endpoints and the MCU on the same LAN. Also the other operator was running another conference on the same MCU at all connects normally. Even When I deleted the conference and created a new one with the participants it connects normally.

After long diagnostics, we found that if we added participant with an Arabic name "Unicode" in the conference the problem appears (may be the other participant with English name has the problem but it is caused When there is a participant with Arabic name). If we rename the participant to English name the participants reconnects normally.

I think it is a weird behavior. is that normal?
if not what can cause the participant to connect with problem while he on the same LAN with the RMX? and what cause video sync loss?

Shabana,

The thing with the Arabic characters is interesting. My guess is it is some sort of Unicode limitation of the .NET framework. The RMX EMA is based on .NET so we have to accept all of the limitations in that runtime environment.

As for the video sync loss, that just means that there was enough packet loss to trigger some video fast updates. Even really low packet loss calls can get sync loss indications if they lose some packets during the initial call setup.

regading the participant name, is it affects on call routing? my guess it is based on participant ID.
