Hello all

We have deployed two RPCS, DMA and Lync 2013 integration according official manuals.

We can successfully make call from Lync to DMA URI like this one VMR@video.company.com.

We can call from both RPCS to Lync also.

Also at RPCS I configured ICE.

Can I use the same account for ICE at both RPCS? I configured the same account.

In what format shoud I type the account name? I have Lync account "polycom@company.com", so I configured just "polycom".

Shoud I configure SIP username and password for authentication at "Default IP Service"-"Security"? Now, authentication is disabled.

At Signaling Monitor I see for SIP server (Lync).

At ICE server page I see:

STUN server UDP/TCP - not available

RelayServer UDP/TCP - "Connection OK"

FW Detection: UDP enabled.

But sometimes I see alarms at RPCS and I am receiving from RPRM emails like this:

Level: MAJOR

                RMX IP : 1.1.1.1

                RMX Name: rpcs01

                RMX Alert ID: 12

                Subject: General

                Process Name: SIPProxy

                Description: REGISTER_ICE_USER_FAILED

Message: Failed to register with OCS. Check the RMX Server Name.

Level: MAJOR

                RMX IP : 1.1.1.2

                RMX Name: rpcs02

                RMX Alert ID: 12

                Subject: General

                Process Name: SIPProxy

                Description: REGISTER_ICE_USER_FAILED

Message: Failed to register with OCS. Check the RMX Server Name.

I do not understand is it a problem or not.

Hi,

We general create SIP URIs for each RMX. Here is the powershell command we typically recommend and use.

Create new Trusted Application Endpoint for EACH of the RMXs

SIP Address = an internal SIP address used by RealPresence™ Collaboration Server (RMX) for ICE

ApplicationID = the application ID created earlier

TrustedApplicationPoolFQDN = the name of the Trusted Application Pool created earlier

New-CsTrustedApplicationEndpoint -sipaddress sip:abc -ApplicationId xyz -TrustedApplicationPoolFqdn trustedapp.<domain>

Basically, using your example of polycom@company.com, you would enter polycom under the Default IP Service -> SIP Advanced -> Server user name textbox.

Then under Default IP Service -> SIP Servers. For the SIP server domain setting, you would enter company.com. The RMX would combine this server domain with the user name you entered under advanced to create the SIP URI. Technically when you run the TAE command, you are creating a Lync contact.

You can check the MS Deployment guide for more useful tips to make sure the configuration is correct.
