Hello. We have a RMX1500 v8.4. We have configured private IPs to LAN for calling, now we have to do public calling and we dont want to use VBP for that. It is written on your post that we can configure public and private network on both LANs. On licensed capabilities window, multiple services shows FALSE status (Screenshot attached).

Please go through that picture and let me know that by adding multiple services license, can we configure both networks on both the LAN ports?? Or we have to procure any additional/other license other than multiple services?

Thanks.

Zeeshan,

Yes, it is possible to configure an RMX 1500 with two network services. One service would be pointed to your inside network and the other to the public network. It is also true that you will need the Multiple Services license to do this. Details on how this works and the necessary configuration details can be found in the version 8.4 RMX Administrator's Guide under Network Security beginning on page 519.

Multiple network services is a PAID license upgrade on the RMX1500.

It is not included in the standard purchase.

When the license is purchased you generate a license key through the activation system on support.polycom.com

Once this is licensed you will see the option show up as licensed (as shown in attached image) and you will be able to add a second service under the IP Network Services.

If you need to purchase the Multiple Networks License key, I can help you with the purchase, installation and configuration.
