Re: RMX 1500 Password Reset

Ahmad,

If you do not know any of the account passwords to access the RMX then the only way to reset the password is to factory default the box. This will put the POLYCOM // POLYCOM user back on it.

To perform the default, you neet a USB drive of 2GB or less, and you put a blank text file onto the root directory called RestoreToFactoryDefault.txt along with a lan.cfg file containing your management and shelf management IP addresses (created with the lan config utility on the usb drive that ships with the system).

That will also erase all of the configuration on the box however, but it is the only way to recover the password if you have lost all of your credentials to log in.

Re: RMX 1500 Password Reset

Hello zh_ur,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The RMX 1500 and other RMX support pages hold a copy of the USB stick that is delivered usually with the System.

For a RMX1500 you can find this => here <=
