Polycom MGC50 with Juniper 1000 Firewall

Dear Team,

I have polycom MGC50 MCU for our client Mahagenco.

I created VLAN for vc camera in HO and MGC s/w PC and MCU are connected to the same switch and another cable is connected to Juniper firewall ISG1000.

Currently I have network setup in which My HO is connected to 9 remote plants with MPLS and my MGC50 is in HO.

I create separate zone in FW for VC and applied policy any any for testing purpose. When firewall is in service I'm able to ping all remote vc camera at plant side from HO VC LAN but only call is not getting established. using MGC manager as well as using point to point connection

I would be grateful is somebody can give soln on this issue.

Kamlesha,

The problem is probably in your firewall configuration. Make sure you are not NATing, PATing or running H.323 fixup protocols as these are common problems that will cause calls to fail when traversing a firewall.

As long as the traffic is reaching the devices on the correct ports, then the calls should establish. Our equipment is network agnostic, as long as the traffic is there it does not matter what hardware is in between.

Thanks for the updatesand help.

Now My problem is resolved by adding gateway to HO endpoint and able to establish the call thru firewall.

But I have still one prb in my mind whether HO End point is sending call request to plant EP and call is getting connecting thru MCU? Please confirm.

I do not uderstand what you are asking. Could you be a little more clear about what you are trying to do and how it is failing?
