We are having some recurrent problems with the Polycom Wireless Microphone system: We lose the signal on the receiver (Green led goes off) when the cable is moved – due to the natural movement of the body.

There is a box (battery 9V) that we attach to the belt, the cable is going from that box to a lapel microphone that we place 6 inches far from the speaker mouth (as is directed).

-        That cable (It works as the device antenna) is too long for running it straight so we tried several ways to wear it:

o   The first one is just having the extra cable hanging (normally at the pants pockets height)

o   The second one is running it around the speaker neck

o   The third one is around the hips – Box on the front-left body side, goes around the back to the other side of the body and then we lift it to the lapel/shirt.

What we tried so far:

-        The cable on the other end (receiver) is totally extended (Horizontally and vertically).

-        Tested at different distances from the receiver – Even when we are close to it we have issues.

-        We placed the receiver at different locations for avoiding interferences issues.

-        We tried to move the cable close to the ends (microphone and jack going to the belt box) to check if there is any connection issue – no issues on that.

-        Several batteries have been tested.

-        We tried on lapel and shirt.

Do you know if we are using it properly? Also do you know what could be wrong?

We really appreciate any help!

Thanks!
