Good morning,

 

We have a single SS 2W console with no base that needs to register with the "base".  Bought new 8 months ago.  Any suggestions?

Dear Polycom Community,

 

We have a Polycom Sound Station 2W, and I am not sure whether it has registration issues or something else. It happened already the second time that there is no sign of any error on the phone, even it allows us dialling, but the connection doesn't get build up. Once it finishes dialling nothing happens, there is only silence. When I try to call the phone from my mobile I experience the same silence after dialling. Last time it happened the phone discharged and once I have started to charge and it turned on it started to work again. Few weeks passed and now it doesn't work again; and I am waiting for it to get discherged, to see whether it fixes the problem or not. Any idea what is the reason of this problem? Is it possible to restart somehow the phone instead of waiting for it to be discharged?

If tHere is an issue you would simply unplug the battery of the unit to power it off.

In additIon check if you are running the latest software via checking our support page
