Simple question, how do I silence the ringer on the Polycom SoundStation VTX1000? Our staff keep unplugging the phone during meetings and that simply isn't a suitable solution.

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The VTX 1000 support page => here <= shows on page 9 of the VTX 1000 User Guide the Volume options in order to adjust the Ringer volume

I realize this is an old post, but I wanted to give the correct answer for others who are searching.

 

You cannot silence the ringer by lowering the volume. You can accomplish what you want by changing the Ringer Type to Off. Press MENU, select SETTTINGS, select RINGER TYPE and use the arrow keys until it shows OFF, then SAVE.
