I have been successfully using SmartPairing with my Group 500 unit runnining software 4.0.1

 

Earlier this week I upgraded to 4.1.1 and enable Smartpairng through the web interface. However Smartpairing did not work. My tablet could detect the room system, but attempting to connect automatically or using the IP address of the unit Failed.

 

I then discovered that Telnet was disable onthe Group Series - you have to enable it through a different place on the Web UI. Once I checked the box to enable telnet all starting working fine.

 

Posting this as information for others that may be experiencing the same issue.
