Polycom VVX 600 with 5.4.0A SfB firmware. 

 

I think I found another issue for those who are using 3rd party SSO providers (such as OneLogin and Okta).  The MS programs such as Skype and Word bypassed the 3rd party although lately they have added support where it brings up a web page window.  

 

The Polycom appears to do something different and therefore gets an error. 

 

1. With the 3rd party provider, there is an issue with login and no ticket is issued therefore the phone does not connect. 

m_eLyncOnlineUserType [3], what does the "3" mean?

 

2. With a Office 365 Cloud user (bypassing provider), the ticket is issued and the phone logs in just fine. 

m_eLyncOnlineUserType [4], what does the "4" mean?

 

3. Are there any workarounds for this or do users need to be cloud managed?

 

4. This seems to be similar to VVX 600 with O365 - Fails to log in . Although it was not resolved, user also had m_eLyncOnlineUserType [3].

I had already advised the quoted topic poster to open a support ticket so we can look at this but to my knowledge this was not done.

 

In your case again we require debug logs for tickt but for myself as a Polycom employee I am unable to provide free support through the community.

 

Please work with your Polycom reseller so we can analyze this.

Just a follow up after running this past the Product Management Team and we officially only tested and certified for Microsoft ADFS and DirSync (with password sync enabled).

 

I suggest you work with your Polycom reseller to bring this to the attention of our sales and product management team so we can work with yourself on this.

I did disable the 3rd party SSO and the DirSync with password sync did work correctly. It's good to know that ADFS is good in case we go that route. 

 

For now, I have decided to remove the 3rd party SSO so that we can use the products.
