Hey guys,

 

I have a polycom 8800 and have run into a couple snags.

 

First, the lync connection has worked, I can use the device to call other skype for business users within the organization and they can, in turn, call the device.

 

There are, however, two remaining issues related to lync:

 

The address book/company directory does not sync, there are some errors in the logs regarding this:

Inbound calls from external skype users (and calls to those users) do not work.  Inbound rings, but upon answering, the call is terminated.  Outbound simply gives the "busy" tone and the call never arrives to the recipient.

Hello abale,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

For yoru first issue:

 

0920145331|tickt|1|00|Lync ABS Fault code/message is:[a:InvalidSecurityToken]
0920145331|tickt|3|00|ABS Query Token expired/Invalid (500)

 

Did you engage Microsoft on this yet ?

 

For yoru second issue the log snippet you posted does not show an inbound or outbound call.

 

I suggest you work with Support.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

If this is some sort of an Internet discounter please post either your phone's MAC address or your Polycom devices serial so I can look up who would be able to support you. This may not be who you purchased the Polycom device from.

Hey, sorry for not including the UC version - It's running 5.4.4

 

I have raised the issue to polycom support via vendor but there is a lot of back and forth and not much progress is being made.  They admitted that the directory sync issue was likely going to be a joint effort between microsoft guys and polycom.
