Short version - Can I configure static routes on the Trio 8800 and Visual+ so they can speak to each other accross separate VLANs?

Long verions - I have a voice VLAN setup for my IP phones.  I have a single stack of switches

  • VLAN ID = 20
  • IP range 192.168.20.x
  • Gateway 192.168.20.1
  • The other side of the gateway is the ISP 65.x.x.x

I have a data VLAN setup for PCs and servers.

  •  VLAN ID = 101
  • IP range 192.168.101.x
  • Gateway 192.168.101.1
  • The other side of the gateway is another ISP 50.x.x.x

I can easily setup a gateway between the two VLANs:

  • 192.168.20.2
  • 192.168.101.2

Since I cannot control the Telco's current gateway 20.1 the only way I could get the Trio and Visual+ to reach each other would be a static route.  Can I configure a static route on the Trio and 8800 so the two can be on separate VLANs?

Hello Jordan Nolan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The Trio needs to be in the same VLAN as the Visual+ and to my knowledge there is no way in the current software to specify a static route.

Jan 03, 2013 Question: How can I request a change to the current Polycom SIP / UCS Software?
