Set default call out number to not be skype phone but business number- VVX 600

Is there a way to do this?

 

I saw an article saying once you dial a user on the VVX it will remember dialling preferences however we have 800+ users and this is a workaround.

 

any ideas?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Must Read First" and is the absolute minimum requirement every new post should include. .

In addition providing us with this basic information gives Polycom an idea what Software Versions are used in the field and avoids wasting time trying to troubleshoot issues which have already been addressed.

In addition this is at present working as designed and was added to UC Software 5.5.1.

 

I suggest you contact a Polycom reseller or a Polycom sales engineer to discuss your options if you have many contacts that are not on Skype for Business.

I'm not sure what you are asking, but it sounds like you want to mask the Caller ID to show the business number?

 

If this is the case you have to do this on the backend creating a Voice Policy and surpressing the caller ID and putting in another ID.

 

If a caller is part of the response group, the user can use the SFB soft client and select the call out number to be the response group number instead of his/her extension.
