Hi All,

 

I have 1 provision server using TFTP which has been working to deploy the VVX 601 and 501.

Now i try to deploy the Trio 8800, and i have put the file needed 3111-65290-001.sip.ld but it always fail to download.

From what i see in the log, it always show this error

 

0228123642|cfg |4|00|Could not get all 298616243 bytes of the file (got 298612147 bytes)
0228123642|cfg |4|00|Prov|File 3111-65290-001.sip.ld failed to download

Please help to advise.

Hello stjun,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

I just tested this myself using TFTP32 and it downloaded just fine.

 

Is the TFTP Server in the same network segment or are there any firewalls in between ?

 

Have you tried changing the retry's ?

I Personally would rather use an FTP Server so you should look into this.

 

In case you need support you need to work with Transition Systems Pte Ltd who sold this Trio back in 29/11/2016

Thanks for your quick response.

I use Solarwinds, and i have set Timeout 20 seconds (max that i can set), and Retry 6 times, so it's doesn't seems the issue.

There should be no firewall in between.

Tried it using FTP and it works, but the client want it as TFTP, therefore i'm looking a way to solve this.

 

There seems a max limit transfer that cause this to happen. It happen before as well for VVX 601 when i use the full config file, then when i change using the split files, it straight away works.

Any other idea where i can take a look into?

there is not a lot we can do as it works for my test setup. I would try TFTP32 or 64

Are you able to test using solarwinds software?
That's the one that i currently use for the tftp software, already tried few others but encounter the same.
If you also encounter the same error, then it means the limitation is in the software itself, since you try using tftp32 works

Can you share the exact release and version you used for your test?

 

I have TFTPD64 Service Edition and my Polycom Trio also fails to download the firmware although it tries several times.

I simply used Filezilla FTP instead of a TFTP

Yes in a test it did but daily I use an FTP server. Please use an FTP server.

Thanks for the reply. 

 

Can you by any chance provide a guide how to push updates via the Lync 2013 server to Trio without user interaction? And if it actually works if you are also doing TFTP provisioning.

 

So far I have update 5.4.5.9111 published and approved on my Lync 2013 server but the device refuses to automatically download and install the update, although the timeout is 900 seconds and the Admin Guide for 5.4.5. says the device should do this automatically (pool is masked for privacy).
