The CX Phones allowed for hold reinvites from the Gateway to play onhold music located on the gateway, rather than from files loaded on to the individual device/users PC. using VVX 411 and 511 (5.6 firmware).

Tried messing with the following settings, but didnt get the desired result.

moh feature.moh.enabled

feature.moh.filename

feature.moh.payload

voIpProt.SIP.useSendonlyHold

voIpProt.SIP.useRFC2543hold

I am aware that we can simply play onhold music using the filename specified above, however the end result desire would be to have outside callers hear hold music, while internal callers not.

Is this something that is possible?

Thank you.

Hello Corey,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Our Phones are officially Microsoft 3PIP certified.

If a feature no longer works or was not tested this needs to be brought to the attention of Polycom support.

In order to raise a support ticket you need to work with your Polycom reseller as they need to do this for you. End Customers are usually unable to open a ticket directly with Polycom support.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
