Hi,

 

We are going to deploy Polycom VVX300 IP Handsets with Skype for Business Server (on-premises).

 

I've applied UCS 5.5.0.20556 to the phone, all functionality appears to be working except for searches via the 'Skype' menu button or 'Directories --> Skype Directory'.

 

Search contacts (123*) or via ABC bring nothing back at all: "No Search Results".

 

Nothing in the logs on the VVX300 to suggest any issues with Address Book Lookups.  Verified Skype ABS internal functionality - all fine.

 

Are there any known issues with UCS 5.5.0.20556 and Skype for Business Server?  Is this the firmware I should be using?

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As outlined in the UC Software 5.5.0 release notes and this post => here <= as an example UC Software 5.5.0 is for SIP only at present.

 

Skype or LYNC is not supported !

I've downgraded the UC software to 5.4.4.3041.

 

Lync Directory Lookup / Search still doesn't work (no results returned), however I'm now getting the following error logged on the VVX300:

 

0609120734|abs  |4|00|[CAbsDirectory::getContactsFromServer] received empty response or error code = 6

 

The internal CA root certificate is on the device (as a result of DHCP Option 43).

I suggest you lower the ABS, Exchange (EC) and the general logging to debug and then check again.

 

If you cannot spot anything obvious please work with your Polycom reseller to bring this to the attention of a support team in your region.

 

If the reseller is some kind of internet discounter please provide me with the MAC(s) of the phone(s) so I can look up who you would need to work with.
