Hi.

We are looking at moving our entire organisation to Polycomm handsets. Currently testing a vvx501 (-019) with Skype for Business and the BToE connector. All great. Latest firmware UC 5.6.0.17325 and updater 5.8.0.19248

We have an openscape LX/MX PBX setup at present but are looking at upgrading this to the Unify suite for SIP to the PSTN.

Anyway, the VVX501 (-019) works great with SfB when provisioned with the Skype for business profile, it also works fine when factory reset and booted with the Generic Base Profile and connected to our Openscape MX as a SIP phone.

As noted from another post here and observations here and when you look at the LINES setting, only 1 line is available with the SfB profile. Whereas MANY lines are available in the SIP profile.

We want to be able to use SfB online (office 365) AND be able to originate calls via our on-prem pbx sip infrastructure. So it would appear that the LINES option needs to support more than one line.

I know the RealPresence Trio 8800 system supports hybrid (Skype for Business / Open SIP) and dual-line (Open SIP / Open SIP) registration as an experimental feature.

Do Polycomm offer ANY handsets that have this feature? E.g. Skype for Business capable AND SIP on another line for PSTN calls via our local SIP Appliance.

Cheers

Neil.

Hello Neil

Not at present and you would need to contact a Polycom Sales Engineer and sign an NDA so we discuss future plans
