Lost License Number : RPG300

Hi,

 

I need your help to recover my RPG 300 License Number, i lost it.

I've read this FAQ, but i can't find License Dashboard link in this page.

With my profile log in, there's only Activation / Upgrade and Product Registration Link under Licensing and Product Registration.

Please let me know if there's another way to recover my License. My Serial Number is : 8213100FF321D5.

Hello kresna,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

What licenses are you expecting to be visible in the License page ?

 

You have two Keycodes that entitles you to upgrade to either 4.1.x or 4.2.x which I believe is standard as you purchased the unit back in April 2013.

 

Please work with your Polycom reseller for any further details as they can check your purchase order.

Hi Steffen, thanks for your reply.

Well, at first i want to have a major firmware upgrade. My current firmware is 4.0.2.2 and i want to upgrade it to the latest one.

To do that i believe i need to create sw_keys.txt file with this format Key Code<TAB>Serial Number<TAB>License Number.

I have the upgrade key and the serial number, but i realised that i dont have Lisence Number. I already check on the reseller, but they cannot help either. I'm expecting that you can help me to get my Lisence Number.

Hello kresna,

A license is only required if you want to activate compatible features like LYNC or Multipoint for example. A license is only available if you have purchased such separately with the codec.

 

Your reseller should know what they have sold you and if this included such license.

 

If you do not have purchased such the key is the only thing you require.
