Hi, I'm new to this community and I am also new to the Polycom RealPresence Series of products.  I have just gone live with video conferencing facilities and working through what it can do.  I have just discovered the advice on recharging the battery for the remote control using the USB port on the system.  Unfortunately, the system box is not easily accessible so I need to find a solution for charging the battery.  There is no advice in the user guides about using alternative USB ports, say from a laptop - which would be ideal.  Can anyone confirm that using a laptop to charge the battery would be OK and wont damage the battery in any way?

Many thanks

Sue

There is nothing special about the battery and what can be used to charge it, any USB port can be used to charge the battery.

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to the world of Polycom videoconferencing.
