Re: Connection establishment

Hello Layth,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to provide as much details on the scenario on what you are trying to archive as possible.

As an example what Polycom Video Conferencing software are you using?

Is this just an internal call or are you trying to be called by someone from the internet?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

Re: Connection establishment

Normally, the software is registering to a gatekeeper with an alias, e.g. your name.  The gatekeeper keeps track of the IP address associated with the registration and would not have two with the same IP address. If you're on a private network, then your internet service provider has a public routable address associated with your internet connection which is used for public routing.  You might need to have some Network Address Translation (NAT) in place to translate your private address to the public routable address.

As Steffen says, more information is needed, e.g. software used, gatekeepers involved, networks involved, calling examples.
