Direct call between Polycom HDX 8000 HD and LifeSize Team 220?

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to make a direct cal between a Polycom HDX 8000 HD and a LifeSize Team 220?

If we start a call, we get audio but no video. Is there a way to force video between these two endpoints? Perhaps force some protocol or resolution?

We aren't registered on any MCU or other system; we call eachother directly by calling an IP address.

Thanks,

I have called between the two vendors often.   Is it possible that your HDX is set in Basic/Diagnostic mode ?  That could cause this issue.   Are both systems able to call to a known test site (Like 71.14.2.157 VTCTest) successfully) ?

If i have understood the problem correctly you both systems have tried to call eatch other. Does both system fail to get picture?

Or is it just one of them? Are you connect on the same network?

It is worth ensuring that both HDX & T220 are on their latest vendor recommended firmware.

We have a Lifesize vendor in our group & have found interoperability issues introduced by both parties when firmware gets out of sync.

here here to PeteT - latest software versions on both as there was an interop issue regarding media a few versions ago.

Then you'd need to verify against another system, or test system - there is not reason Lifesize and Polycom can't talk to each other.

Thanks sharps, whilst Gary M & others are talking about test systems we've an old VSX7k on 89.105.107.135 which is on 24/7/365 & tested daily.  Never mind the quality feel the width.  Video can be poor but it'll help prove connectivity.
