Hi

As the moniker implied: Complete newbiw when it comes to Polycom Video Conference products. I need to know if the EagleEye Director can work with one camera, I am assuming it does.

The problem is that I have installed an EagleEye Director with a RealPresence Group 500. Without the Director I get video from the camera. With the Eagle Eye Director , i get a blue screen.

Second question on the same matter: If I use two cameras do I need a power supply for the second camera or will it power from the Director base like the first?

Hi,

I think i can answer your question:

1-  I need to know if the EagleEye Director can work with one camera?

No, you cant work with one camera. EED has sensor for detect cameras.

2 - If I use two cameras do I need a power supply for the second camera or will it power from the Director base like the first?

You dont need power supply for cameras.

On the question about power supply for the 2nd camera.  With the EagleEye Director 2.0 you can remote the establishing shot camera away from the base (see installation directions).  But when you do that you will need to provide power to the remote camera.
