Hello all, great to see an active community and hopefully you can guide me in the right direction. I am looking for some advice with getting various Polycom end points up and running on our domain.

The devices are inherited and we currently do not have any means to manage them. We have a combination HDX 4000, 4500, 6000, 8000's and some Real Presence 500's. These were previously tied up together to an RMX bridge for internal room directory/lookup but this is now no longer available.

Ideally I would like integrate them with Skype4b and or o365 for point to point and multipoint video conferencing, however after some investigation it appears the older units may not be compatible by default.

Any advice and suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance.

Hello Rays,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

There are many factors depending on the software versions you are using on the various devices.

I suggest you work with a Polycom reseller / Polycom Sales engineer in your region.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards

The HDX products do not support S4B and O365, they may work in the S4B on-prem but that is not a support configuration and all the HDX products are past their End of sale date or will be at the end of Sep, 2017.  The best value for an HDX is as a trade-in on a RP Group Series.  Please consult with your Polycom reseller to see if there are any current trade-in opportunities at the present time.

The GS 500s do support both S4B and O365 but require a license for that interoperability and those can be purchased from any Polycom reseller.

RayS,

You might look into someone like Pragmatic, their video as a service is completely Polycom based so most of what you were able to do with the RMX should be do-able with them.   And I believe they can help you merge others into your calls..

They are a very respected Polycom Partner.

Good luck !
