we are using the HDX 8000 and Cisco call manager 8.0. We want to configure the HDX in the Cisco call manager for SIP calls. How to configure the Cisco call manager as well as HDX ?

Dear Maruthanayagam

 for this there are two parts :

 

1- CUCM:

 * Create new SIP Security Profile

   -  add enable SIP Digest

   -  Make the Connection UDP

 * Add new Third Party SIP Advanced Phone.

   - Write the MAC Address of the Polycom Encoder (you can find it in the System Information)

   - Choose the security Profile you created it

   - Choose Digest User (for Authitcation) and change his Digest Password

   - Save and add Extension

 

2- Polycom:

  go to admin Settings- IP Settings - SIP Configuration

 * Transport Type UDP

 * Authintication Name : the UID of the User

 * Username : the Extension Number

 * Password : the Digest Password

 * Registrar : CUCM IP

 * if only Registrar not working or if you have Proxy add the Proxy Server : CUCM IP or Proxy server

 

give a 10 min then a message will come on the Screen that SIP is registered.
