We have a unit we 3 desk microphones. We want 2 microphones daisy chained in one direction for the general room area and the 3rd microphone for the CEO and the VP's. In particular, the CEO and VP's will discuss things quietly while the managers are still presenting their material and would like to be able to mute their microphone. Is it possible to mute just this one microphone without it muting the other two which is picking up the presenting speaker?

Hi BlackJoe,  Sorry but there is no way to selectively mute a single mic.

Hi BlackJoe.  Might I suggest a 3rd party mic solution, perhaps wireless where each mic has its own mute.  Pete

Pete,  caution here...If the mute signal is sent back to the HDX then all mics will mute.  Research should be done before purchasing additional mics to be sure the mute signal is independent of the HDX.  An example is if the HDX is equipped with a SoundStrcture and HDX mics, then the mute command is passed to the C-Link and all mics will mute.  If the system is using third party analog mics then the SoundStrcture can mute them individually.

I refrained from saying www.revolabs.com as I mistakenly thought the House Rules don't allow it.  We this often & have no distance limitation. Possibly slightly more expensive, but if a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing well.

The only down side is that6 it's often not obvious that the far end is muted as the Codec doesn't know his wireless mic is muted & neither does the caller.  Pete
