Hello,

I work at a COmmunity College and we use a Polycom HDX 9002 to host classes across multiple classes.  Past couple of days, starting in the afternoon and stopping shortly before classes start, we been getting calls, the IP for the calls is the same internal IP the Polycom unit has. Bit annoying.  Does anyone know why we are getting it or a way to stop it.  In the recent calls it says 101@ or test@ or %27or%27%27%3d%27@ then the internal IP address.  Anybody have any ideas on how to stop this.

SIncerely

John.

Hello John,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's Video FAQ contains this post here:

Apr 07,2015 Question: How can I prevent Phantom calls to my Video Solution?

Answer: A local Firewall or a Polycom Firewall traversal solution can be utilized to stop this. In order to add this to a possible future Software version in the form of a whitelist please contact Luriep => here <= or Security Center: Security Bulletin Relating to Worldwide Botnet Dialing H.323-Capable Systems

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Those are botnet calls, usually they uses SIP but it also applies to H.323

If you only have a codec, and you only uses H.323 you can disable SIP on your settings.
