Hi:

I have a VSX 8000 and I'm trying to connect to a RMX 4000 by ISDN (I'm in Colombia, the RMX is in USA) It can connect but can't send video, just audio, in both directions. Using IP connection to the same equipment there is no problem, and I have used the vsx by ISDN with other destinations without problems. So, what can be causing this?

Thank you,

The fail was solved. The cause was the difference in velocity. In USA the used 512K, and I only have 128K. So, I asked they to force their speed to 128k, and it worked ok.

Hello,

Can another system call into that same number on the RMX and successfully see audio and video in both directions? And what speed does the call connect at? Also, can you verify the call preference is set to ISDN, rather than ISDN Phone when attempting the call.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi:

In USA they have checked this same ISDN connection with other destinies without problem. The call is connected to 128K. And I have checked that is ISDN selected, not Phone.

Note: in IP mode, I have to enabled the mode: Basic Video, but even with this option, ISDN isn't working.

Thank you,

Hello edaniel,

have you tried other Locations in the USA yet via ISDN?

Is your company or your phone provider possibly using least cost routing to utilize cheaper connectivity's between Columbia and the USA.

If the connection is not fully ISDN between the 2 Sites this could cause an issue as well.

Best regards
