We have a polycom HDX 8000 with 4 cameras.  There is the choice for one camera or quad view.   In Quad view specific cameras can be turned off.  However the screen display mearly blacks out these cameras and does not re-size the viewing window for the remaining cameras.  Thus if we want to display only two cameras, the quad view persists, cameras three and four are black, and the viewing screen size is still the quad view.  Which is quite small.

Does anyone know if Polycom has an update for these systems which would change the screen size of what is viewed when selecting less than the 4 cameras?

Do not understand the question.  The HDX 8000 can support multiple cameras but will only send one people source and one content source at at time, that is the maxumum displayed.

Please elaborate on your local set-up and provide the details requested in the note below.

Some best practices advice:

It is always useful to include the currently used Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release. This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

When explaining a situation please include a FULL configuration of your configuration. If it involves calling another location what is being used to transverse the networks. If it involves other endpoints or is a multipoint call what is the other equipment and what software versions are they using (if known). It is hard to properly ‘guess’ these parameters when attempting to provide some guidance. Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience. Best Regards Steven Zabriski Polycom
