Hello,

 

A power surge was experienced in our building. Since then, the HDX8000 Codec showed only a blue LED for power indicator. When shutdown, it didn't go through the usual sequence of yellow flashing LED until it powered off.

 

Now, upon powering up this time the LED power indicator alternates between yellow and blue and cycles like that every few seconds.

 

I removed the Codec but unfortunately, at this time, I don't have a monitor available to check. I am in process of sourcing one.

 

Has anyone else experienced this alternate flashing?

 

I tried to do a factory reset but not sure if successful. That is when the alternate flashing started to happen. Could this be a condition that means a factory reset was accomplished and now waiting ofr programming?

 

Again, until I find a monitor to use I can't give any additional info at this time.

HP Recommended

The flashing of amber (yellow) and blue indicates it is in a softupdate status.  You really need to see what the messages are on the unit.
