Hello.  I have a doozey of a problem that I have been working on for months.  Maybe someone out there has had the same problem and knows the solution?

I have a Polycom Realpresence 500 configured on my network.  ALL OF THE REQUIRED PORTS ARE OPEN IN THE FIREWALL.  At least according to the Polycom RP 500 deployment instructions.

I can connect a VTC successfully, but cannot hear the far side audio or video.  The far side can see and hear my fine, but I cannot see or hear them.

Has anyone seen this problem?  I actually suspect it might still be firwall related, but as I mentioned above, I have a rulset in the firewall with all the required ports and verified they are bidirectional.  I am really hoping to avoide painstakingly going throught he firewall and unloaded rulests one by one until I find the culprint.

Anyone seen this particular problem before?

Thank you

Yes, it is probably a firewall issue, since you have done the work on your side then I would guess it is the firewall at the far end.

You can both test to a test site and isolate where the issue is.  A suggested site could be:

Test your video at: 71.14.2.158 or 71.14.2.157

Digital Video Loopback at: 71.14.2.154
