We're deploying a Polycom a video conferencing solution with the items (RMX 2000, Media Suite, RPRM, DMA, RPAD and RPG 500) and we're facing some issues. Amon them is RPG 500 dynamic provisioning on RPRM. the RPGs are already listed under endpoint->monitor view synced from DMA but while trying to provision the RPGs directly to RPRM we're getting Invalid user name, Dmain or password error and kindly advise on this issue.

RPRM SW version: 10.2
RPG SW Version: 5.x

Hello kennedy,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As this is a new install why do you not simply call Polycom support rather than try and troubleshoot such a complex installation via the medium of a community forum ?

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Provisioning and management of VSX, HDX and GS endpoints via RPRM is a bit of a hit and miss situation. For starters, for VSX and HDX endpoints (even 3.x+ software versions) just skip dynamic management and do scheduled management. Breakup the provisioning profiles into smaller groups and send them, one at a time, to the endpoint(s). We have our profiles in groups for General, Video/Network, Cameras, Global Services. For VSX and HDX you won't use any domain or RPRM credentials other then the local (on the endpoint) - you'll set that in the scheduled profile (so all endpoints use admin/1234 or whatever), that's how you access the endpoints via the web interface and how RPRM sees and interacts with the endpoints.

For the Group Series, are you integrated (on RPRM) to a Windows domain or are you using accounts local to RPRM? These would be Machine Accounts under Users in RPRM?

You may be further than that and have more of your system laid out, but it may be as simple as on the Provisioning service section on your GS endpoint, you may just need to put in 'local' for domain and whatever user/pass you have setup on RPRM. If it's windows, then your windows domain RPRM is configured to.
