Hi, we have deployed RealPresence Desktop to a lot of out users and they are using Enterprise single sign-on. Everything works great and more and more users are asking for the software.

We have a department that is not allowed IM so this feature is disabled and we ran into desktop sharing issues that not also needs to be disabled.

I've tried to disabled Content by blocking port 5001 which from my research is what what H.239 uses, This is not working for me. I need to be able to disabled content from being sent and receive to a group of folks.

anyone out there have any other ideas how this can be acomplished?

thanks

As per my knowleage, port 5001 is used to for content over IP

For H.239 the same ports are responsible which is responsible for audio and video.

Polycom products run AV traffic over 3200-3300 UDP and TCP ports.

Port 5001 is used to connect PpCIP application to standalone systems like HDX and RP Group. During the call content is sent as a second video stream over the dynamically open UDP port according to Rec. H.239. H.239 can be disabled in the HDX/RPG system settings. AFAIK there is no means to disable H.239 for RP Desktop.

Hope this explains the H.239 usage.
