My customer has a new hdx 7000 (installed back in April). It connects to the test sites just fine. A seperate site in another city calls into it once every quarter and it connects just fine and they stream out of it to the seperate site with no issues.

Recently they tried to use the hdx 7000 in a meeting (which they usually do not do). When the customer tries to call to other locations no connection is made it just keeps ringing. The customer also has a older viewstation set top unit, when they call the same numbers with the older viewstation unit it connects with no problem. Any suggestions on what we may be able to do to get the hdx 7000 to connect to the numbers that the old viewstation has no problem connecting with?

Thanks!

This clearly may be an issue with Firewall Ports, the HDX 7000 has a broader port range for TCP and UDP that require to be opened in the FireWall. Are the systems that can dial into the ViewStation also on the public internet, outside of the Firewall of this particular ViewStation?

Ports for the HDX 7000:

TCP 3230-3235

UDP 3230-3277

ViewStation:

TCP 3230-3235

UDP 3230-3253

Also when you say that the HDX just rings to the far end, do you get a full green status ball, half yellow or quarter blue?

your port range for HDX here is incorrect.. (not broad enough)

standard ports are TCP 3230-3243 UDP 3230-3341
