Are there any tricks to testing dial plans?
I need to combine two VoIP services, one based in Canada, the other based in New Zealand. I am interested in ensuring the phone is able to dial numbers as well as the NZ emergency number. It is the last one in particular I don't really want to dial because it isn't an emergency but make sure the phone is able to route correctly if it were dialed. I'm running a VVX 410 with the latest UC software.

Hello Colin,
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: Phone unable to Dial a number when Off Hook or on 2nd Call in a Conference
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Above explains in detail how to utilize the digitmap on the phone to manipulate numbers but I am still not fully clear how this would route your calls.

What I'm gathering from the FAQ is pretty much trial-and-error using logging is the only way to test it. No one has written tooling to help build a dial plan or test out an existing one?
I was hoping that there might be something similar to what I get with regular expression tools - put in the pattern, provide a few test cases and have it tell me which ones match what aspect of the pattern and which ones do not.
