Hi!

Wondered if we have the option for fleaxible seating to overwrite the call history for the host with the guest one. I know in the past this was not possible as the phone is keeping a record of the call history even after reboot/reset and importing a ne user-calls.xml, was just appending the imported log to the existing one.

Since the Flexible seating is now supported, is there a way to remove the host/ previously logged guest call log, on new guest login?

  Thanks!

  Radu

Hello Radu,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Hello Radu,

This may be a limitation on the BroadSoft end as we have the functionality.

I suggest to work with BroadSoft on this and our reference for this is VOIP-111520

You could probably modify the <mac>.cfg section for CALL_LISTS_DIRECTORY=""

The CALL_LISTS_DIRECTORY="" can be used to store/load the <mac>-calls.xml or <username>-calls.xml files. If nothing is specified the files are stored / loaded in/from the root directory.

Simply add a FTP server or so to upload it to somewhere else.

Hello Steffen!

The problem is not on BS, as the file is uploaded, stored and downloaded succesfully, but when is downloaded by Polycom it is appended to the localy saved call history on the phone and is not replacing the locally stored call history.  Wondered if there is a way of replacing the local call history with the downloaded file.

   Regards,

Hello Radu,

any change to the current behavior requires a feature request:

Hi!

  Just to be sure:

You confirm that the current working mode for Polycoms with version 5.5.0 and higher, that support flexible seating, do not support having the flexible seating guest call-log and changing the current behaviour (addinng guest log to local log) requires a feature request?

   thanks!

Hi

Could you please confirm if this is the expected behavior?

There is also a SR for this (1-5750934091).

Hello Mihai,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Your case is with one of my colleagues but I am awaiting some feedback from the Product Management Team. Over the Easter Holidays and personal PTO this got lost.
