Is possible to perform the integration between VVX1500 and Microsoft Lync or an Asterisk server?

That is quite a short question but it has a very broad scope because it conjures up a multitude of possible architectures/responses/solutions and, depending on the approach adopted, the answer is both "yes" and "no".

VVX1500 to Asterisk is possible today, registration + audio + video.

If using the Polycom RealPresence™ platform it is possible today to terminate a SIP or H.323 call from a VVX1500 (registered to Asterisk) to a video conference hosted on the Polycom RMX, which can also accept audio and video connectivity into the conference from Microsoft Lync clients and other SIP or H.323 endpoints.

At the time of writing, SIP integration directly between VVX1500 and Microsoft Lync is not available. Essentially, for the majority of generally-available 3rd-party SIP devices, calling directly to a Microsoft Lync client is not possible unless the call traverses a Microsoft-certified Gateway/SIP trunk to Microsoft Lync for audio translation. Similarly, native registration of standards-based 3rd-party SIP clients with Microsoft Lync Server is also not achievable. SIP clients require additional software development to be made to them to enable them to register and interoperate 'natively' in a Microsoft Lync environment.

Polycom has a publicly-stated relationhip with Microsoft that implies ongoing integration with Microsoft Lync across a number of areas of product development, augmenting the existing integration we can deliver today with Microsoft Lync and our Polycom RealPresence™ platform and HDX endpoints.  These future developments are governed by NDA until official announcement and your regional Polycom account manager and SE would be the best contact from which to obtain further information on the solutions that would meet your specific requirements.
