I'm not sure if I have a setting wrong or what but I noticed that my VVX 310 (running 5.0.2) and my IP7000 (4.0.5C) do not send UUID in the contacts header when they register.   I looked through the documentation to see if there's something obvious I have to set to enable this functionality but I could find it.   I'm using standard SIP interops, TCP on port 5060.  The phones do register, just without the UUID in the contacts.

I noticed the errors below in the log files on the phones:

000336.487|utilm|4|00|uBLFUnCompressed: File /ffs0/Config/Local/WebTicket/0/sip.usr doesn't exist or is empty
000336.489|tickt|4|00|soWebTicketCertMove: Could not copy key to new slot
000336.490|tickt|4|00|soWebTicketCertMove: Could not copy cert to new slot
000336.490|tickt|4|00|soWebTicketCertMove: Could not copy SIP user to new slot
000336.491|tickt|4|00|soWebTicketCertMove: Could not copy SIP uuid to new slot
000336.491|tickt|4|00|soWebTicketCertMove: Could not copy server to new slot

Seems like there's a "sip.usr" file missing on the phone's local file system that would possibly contain a generated UUID.

Any thoughts?

Hello Sam,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

I only had a brief look at the RFC and it states "A UA SHOULD create a UUID URN" so it is not a MUST.

I suggest you raise this via your Polycom reseller so they can bring it up with our support team.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Best Regards
