Need Review of Soundpoint IP335 Log File Please

New out of the box the phone sat on Waiting for network to initialize so I loaded the latest firmware and bootrom using the tftp server. The phone gets to "Running sip.ld" then reboots continually. I have read a number of knowledgebases and think I am close to resolving but it still reboots. Here is a copy of the log file from the tftp server if someone could look at it and suggest what the issue could be it would much appreciated thanks.

Re: Need Review of Soundpoint IP335 Log File Please

Hello Lith,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Can I please make you aware that the Polycom Community is not a replacement for the Polycom Support Process and you should actually contact your Polycom Reseller for this new unit.

The boot Log does not show anything that I would find troublesome but you should maybe consider utilizing FTP instead with the append functionality as the app log would show more details.

Best Regards

Actually with that log the phone booted but then as soon as a call was attempted it went into a reboot loop again. It was an online purchase and no support from the reseller so have now created a Polycom support request. Thanks

Re: Need Review of Soundpoint IP335 Log File Please

Hello Lith,

like I said, you are only showing the <mac>-boot.log and not the <mac>-app.log and therefore the community members won't see why the App (SIP/UCS) reboots.

Are you loading a sip.cfg / phone1.cfg by any chance ?

Again the app log would shows what configuration the phone loads and if it complains on any of the parameters within your configuration.

My colleagues will need this information.

Best Regards

Re: Need Review of Soundpoint IP335 Log File Please

No not loading a sip.cfg / phone1.cfg.

Will it show the app.log automatically as long as it can append to the ftp site?
