Polycom 320 Phone directory volatile memory config

Hi there I have 39 Polycon 320 I look after in our office, I have the phones using TFTP which I have no problem with. The curent firmware and boot rom's for the phones are:

SIP Software Version 3.3.4.0085

BootROM Software Version 4.3.1.0440

Im trying to set it that when the phones are rebooted, they will pick up the new entries added in the phones directory.

In the sip config I have the following

<local
dir.local.volatile.2meg="1"
dir.local.nonVolatile.maxSize.2meg="20"
dir.local.volatile.4meg="1"
dir.local.nonVolatile.maxSize.4meg="50"
dir.local.volatile.8meg="1"
dir.local.nonVolatile.maxSize.8meg="100"
dir.local.volatile.maxSize="50"
dir.local.readonly=""
dir.search.field="1"
/>

but while rebooting the phones I see the following error

 Unknown parameter "dir.local.volatile.2meg" found, ignoring.
 Unknown parameter "dir.local.nonVolatile.maxSize.2meg" found, ignoring.
 Unknown parameter "dir.local.volatile.4meg" found, ignoring.
 Unknown parameter "dir.local.nonVolatile.maxSize.4meg" found, ignoring.
 Unknown parameter "dir.local.volatile.8meg" found, ignoring.
 Unknown parameter "dir.local.nonVolatile.maxSize.8meg" found, ignoring.

I have read the admistration docs so I know Im using the right format so Im at a loss why the config isn't working so any help would be greatful.

[ Edited ]

Hello Mick,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Check the UCS 3.3.0 Admin Guide as these parameters are pre-ucs 3.3.0 and have to my knowledge be removed.

Utilizing the cfcUtility would also remove these.

The 000000000000-directory.xml is only loaded on the 1st Boot Up and no longer after this. An individual <mac>-directory.xml is loaded every time and changes should be made to these.

A server like LDAP can be used if a central phonebook should be utilized.

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
