Hi

Have a client who has a number of Soundpoint ip 331 sets being used on a Mitel 3300. There is an option on the 3300 on SIP Peer Profile we have enabled(required - Force sending SDP in initial Invite – Early Answer) which is causing a ringback issue on outbound calls. You can see this in a capture, the 3300 sends 180 message to the set then the SDP which tells it the media stream is inactive even though audio is being sent. Silence until the end party answers. Is there a option on these sets to look at the 180 message and  either provide it's own ringback tones or  look for audio regardless of what's in the SDP message.

Hello dferris,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

Hello dferris,

Please utilize a current software like 4.0.11 instead and repeat the test.

The Phone itself was sold 30/04/2015 by SCANSOURCE COMMUNICATIONS so you can open a PPI / Pay per Incident Ticket with them.
