Hello,

When we use push to talk there is an quiet BEEP followed by an extremely long loud BEEP. How can I change this sound? We are using Polycom VVX410s on Broadsoft.

Please help, it's frying our ears...

Hello UltrasonicWelders,

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Are you sure you are talking about the Polycom PTT functionality?

Its should only emit a low sound.

Maybe film the issue and attach a clip here ?

Hi Steve, thank you for the reply. My phone version states: 5.5.0.13251

I have recorded this clip of the sound it makes when I use PTT intercom on our VVX 410s and attached it.

It's kinda hard to tell but at the very beggining before the loud beep there is a quiet beep preceding the loud long beep. (in the video it doesn't sound that loud but it's pretty bad, and there is no way to adjust volumn or change the sound to something more pleasent)

Thank you so much for your help and I hope we can figure out a solution!

Hello UltrasonicWelders,

thank you for the video and even if the quality is not really that great it shows that this functionality described by yourself is not something that matches our own PTT / Paging facility shown => here <=

I assume your functionality uses and enhanced feature key as described => here <= to invoke some kind off auto answer as described => here <=

If you are able to access the Web Interface you should see something like the call.autoAnswer.ringClass being utilized.

You should work with whoever setup this configuration in order to modify it.
