We are testing out 4.0.1b.  In trying to load a corporate directory onto a server usung the XML rather than the LDAP method.

When we give the phone the corporate directory but set dir.local.readonly=1 the phone will go into a reboot cycle from which it never ends if encryption is set.  If encryption is turned off then it works as expected.

If we set the phone to dir.local.readonly=0 the phones will not go into this reboot cycle with or without encryption.

The directory DOES load into the phone showing that the encrytion does indeed work as expected.

I think it may be related to this bug:

60013 The phone no longer locks up and reboots when accessing the contact directory if dir.local.readonly=1 (applies to SoundPoint IP 320, 321, 330, 331, and 335).

We are testing 4.0.2.11307 on a Polycom 550.

We have found though that this bug does not affect the VVX 500.

Any thoughts?

Hello Eric,

please raise this via your Polycom Reseller to be brought to the attention of the Polycom Support Team in your area.

Provide all relevant configurations used (export all) and all the boot & app logs.
