Hi

 

Using version 5.4.5.9188, I am trying to set a background image.  It hasn't worked so just trying to find out if anyone else has discoverd if there are specific protocols or image types supported and others that don't work.

 

I have set:

 

 

mr.bg.showPlcmLogo="0"
mr.bg.selection="Custom"
mr.bg.url="ftp://loginid:password@ftpserver/bg/background.jpg"

 

The result is that the logo has gone, but I have a black background on the screen.

 

If I put this url in my browser, it resolves - so it is not the location, password etc.

 

Is it that ftp is not suported or that it is a jpg.  I tried moving it up a directory to the root (removed the /bg) but not chnage.

 

One final confusion, having set all these parameters back to defaults and set "" for the url, I get the Polycom logo back but I didn't get the default backgrounds back - still have a black screen.  I restarted the Trio (and did a reboot) and then rebooted the Visual+ device - but can't get the backgrounds back.

 

(PS my .jpg file is 379KB)

We have got the background working by using HTTP rather than FTP which we abandond.

One issue was that we have few un-authenticated web sites even internally to the organisation - but a stright HTTP call works.

This issue should be fixed in the next UC Software 5.5.2 Release for the RealPresence Trio which is due Monday / Tuesday this week.
