Polycom® Unified Communications (UC) software 4.0.13 is a general release that is distributed to all Polycom partners and customers. These release notes include references to previous UC software versions to assist administrators who are updating from a previous software release to a UC software 4.0.x release.

UC software 4.0.13 supports Polycom® SoundPoint® IP, Polycom® SoundStation® IP, Polycom®
SoundStation® Duo, Polycom® VVX® 500 and 1500 business media phones, and Polycom®
SoundStructure® VoIP Interface. For more details on configuring the phones and the software, refer to the Polycom UC Software 4.0.5 Administrators’ Guide on Polycom Support.

OpenSSL Upgrade

OpenSSL has been upgraded from version 0.9.8zg to version 1.0.2j for all the phones except for
SoundStation IP 6000 and SoundStation IP 7000 phones.

Polycom strongly recommends upgrading the SoundStation IP 6000 and SoundStation IP 7000 systems to use Updater 5.0.13 to ensure that all newly added certificates and the OpenSSL fix are in place before you install UC Software 4.0.13. This updater needs to be provisioned manually for SoundStation IP 6000 and SoundStation IP 7000 systems.
