I finally got my SoundStation IP 7000 to work and now I'm wondering if it's possible to use the same (or slightly modified) xml file to load my contacts. I can't seem to find an entry in the menu.

The XML file I'm currently using for my Yealink phones is on my FreePBX server. Is this (an external file) supported by the SoundStation? I'm not using LDAP.

I found the part about creating an XML file of which I downloaded the example, renamed it to remove ~ and matched 000000000000 with the Mac address of my device. But where do I have to place that file?

HP Recommended

Hello vespino,

The FAQ article explains that it needs to be placed on your Provisioning server.

Simply download an example software version and you will see where it goes.

The FAQ's hold all the information on this.

So basically I need to setup an TFTP server?

HP Recommended

Hello vespino,

Polycom recommends an FTP server.

If you have any further questions that neither the FAQ or other members can answer please call Polycom support and open a PPI / Pay per Incident case.
