Hi there,

We have multiple soundpoints running version 4.1.1.0731 and 4.1.0.84959.

The problem is when we make an outbound call the ringback sent from our carrier does not reach the user and is replaced by the internal ringback from the phone.

We have checked the config and tested with other phones both soft(XLITE/ZOIPER)/hard(SNOM) phones and the early media from the carrier reaches the user perfectly.

We also tried multiple configurations including supressing the 180 and jumping directly to the 183 with SDP containing the carrier audio, we also tried having our softswitch rendering the ringback/earlymedia itself and not relying on the carrier network.

Our main objective is to supress all the ringback from the phone and allow the softswitch to render the audio itself, since for our users the carrier early media contains alot of important information.

Regards,

Antonio

Hello Antonio,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Jun 30, 2015 Question:What is the difference using the UC Software 4.0.0 for compatible SoundPoint or SoundStation IP Phones?

Resolution: Please always check the release Notes or

Software Version  Call Server
4.0.X SIP Only
4.1.X LYNC Only

I suggest if you use SIP to install the correct compatible and supported software and then test this again.
