Hello community is there a way with the VVX 310 to mute incoming calls for the users team call group? (or change it to a low volume ring tone etc). Changing it in the client does not affect the VVX ringer it seems and i cant see in the admin guide a way to do it?

Thanks in advance

Welcome Joel,

In your post you don't say what phone system you are using.  I'll assume Lync/SfB.  The phones do recognize a call as part of a team call but the use the normal ring type.  If that is configurable it is well hidden.  If you need this feature contact your sales rep and have them raise a new feature request with Polycom.  I know the product team is looking for this kind of feedback and the more people that request it the more likely it will be added.

Hello Joel,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

As already mentioned by James it is always useful to include the currently used SIP or UC Software version as issues experienced may already be addressed in a newer release.

Please also include if you are using a SIP server or a LYNC server

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.

The above is also stated in the "Read First: Welcome to the Polycom VoIP Forum"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

We can already utilize different SIP headers if the server being used supports these:

Oct 25, 2011 Question: How can I change my Ringtone or Ring in a special manner for a certain incoming call?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

If the server is indeed LYNC then please follow this:

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
