We have an office with about 50 Polycom VVX 400 phones, running U.C.5.1.1.  The phones connect via the public internet to a remote Asterisk PBX.  For the most part, there are no issues.

Last night, the internet connection dropped for about an hour, and the phones all lost connectivity.  The internet connection came back up (ISP outage) but the phones did not.  We had to manually reboot each phone to restore connectivity to the PBX.

The phones are on their own subnet, connected to a Cisco ASA via DHCP.

Any clues as to why we'd have to force a reboot on each phone to restore service?

Thanks,

Peter
