VVX 500 Bluetooth dongle support for common bluetooth headsets

Is it possible to take a consuner type device that a jawbone or voyager that someone uses with their iOS device and pair it with a VVX 500?

Since the VVX doesnt have native bluetooh I assume you would need a USB to bluetooth adapter to stick into the phone. Any of those supported as well?

thanks

Re: VVX 500 Bluetooth dongle support for common bluetooth headsets

Hello TRRB,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

It is always useful to include the currently used UC Software version as issues experienced or a question asked may already be addressed in a newer release.

This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes, Administrator Guides or FAQ post’s.

The above is also stated in the "Read First"

Therefore the Polycom VoIP FAQ contains this post here:

Question: How can I find out my SIP or UC Software Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check here

Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.

[ Edited ]

Talk about not answering the question.

I too would like to know if there is a way to connect a Bluetooth Headset with the Polycom VVX 500 via a adaptor or dongle. I have a Jabra Evolve 65 headset that comes with the Jabra Link 360 USB adapter, so why can't I use it with the phone?  All the supported Wireless Headsets for the VVX 500 are old, outdated. and over priced.  The Polycom VVX 500 looks new but is no better than a basic home phone.

Hello RugbyFan,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

The minimum detail asked in the "Read First" post ask's every user to post their software version.

The original poster, and yourself by answering this post, have not done this.

To answer the question I do not know and you would need to test this.

We have a basic simple overview but we are unable to update the document whenever a manufacturer brings out a new phone.
