I'm playing with the XML API and HTTP URI Push to create call flows ultimately for automated testing purposes. I'm a bit baffled on how to simulate a blind transfer as to do it on the phone itself requires a long press of the transfer button to get a sub menu.

 

If the solution is to change the default action of the transfer button, could someone please supply an example XML to push as the document "Web Application Developer's Guide for Polycom Phones" for UCS software 5.0.0 shows the ActionType Action in Table 6: Supported Internal URIs but doesn't show any examples.

Feb 04, 2013 Question: Can I remotely control the Phone or send content to the Phone?

Answer: The <apps/> parameter can be used to utilize the push server controls and more information can be found => here <=

 

The above has plenty of examples but a blind transfer is not one of them.

 

In addition to the above there is an REST API which is not yet officially supported. You should contact your Polycom reseller so they can get that information for you as this should do what you need.

Hi Steiffen,

I'm automating the same, After sendiing PUSH request to press "Transfer" soft key , I have to push the "forward to" or "destination " number inorder to make the transfer. How to send the digits of forward to number and transfer the call after pressing Transfer Softkey through HTTP Push.

welcome back to the Polycom Community.

The ability's of the PUSH functionality are limited especially on the new VVX phones as some UI Items cannot be reached via a softkey.

 

If you work for the organisation your email is registered to I suggest you contact your Polycom Sales Engineer so you can get access to the REST API.
